Dr. Gurkamal Sandhu

Dr. Sandhu first completed dental school in India, then came to America and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry. She then went on to further her expertise by completing the Advanced Education Program at NYU, a post-graduate program that deepens a professional’s knowledge and skill. This additional education also provides specialty training in dentistry.

Dr. Sandhu then began working at a community hospital and private practice in Philadelphia. While in Philadelphia, she was the recipient of the prestigious Rising Star Pinnacle Award for her contributions to the dental health of her local underserved community members. 

As a result of her extensive training and experience, Dr. Sandhu’s skills and experience are far-ranging. She offers her patients the following services:

• Root canal therapy

• Partial and complete dentures
• Implant overdentures
• Dental implant restorations
• Surgical and non-surgical extractions
• Cosmetic whitening of teeth using lasers

In her daily practice, Dr. Sandhu focuses on her patients’ health and overall well-being in addition to providing gentle therapies in a caring environment. 

Dr. Sandhu relocated from Philadelphia to Carmichael, California, with her family and now offers her services at 6600 Madison Ave #5, in Carmichael. She combines her commitment to her patients and her practice with her enjoyment of outings with her husband and two children. She also enjoys artistic activities, painting landscapes and creating trees and plants in the bonsai tradition. 

Dr. Sandhu maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
